What books would you recommend and why?

Just to get this straight no twilight type books ok! I need another book to read and I want you guys to help me out. Some of my favorite books are Uncle Tom's Cabin, Eragon series, Harry Potter series, A Separate Peace, The Great Gatsby, and Lord of the Flies. Thanks! :)
