Pilates Vs. Weight Training?? (for weightloss & to keep it off)?

I currently am trying to lose the last stubborn 15 pounds (7kilo's) originally was 25 pounds.... and have been doing Kickboxing from (2hrs - 5hrs a week) for the last year and Weights for the last 12 weeks and have lost 10 pounds in the last year ... its slow but atleast i'll keep it off.. I have just done a few pilates cles and as I do so much already was wondring if I can ditch my weight training (3 x 30mins a week) and replace with the pilates which I enjoy doing alot more... but will I lose the muscle definition I have just started to build and will pilates keep building muscle for me (as I have heard the more muscle you develop the faster the metabolism becomes) ?? basically can I get away with doing pilates instead of weights with the same results??
