Marijauna legal in US? Bad or really a good thing?

If you watched it what do you think? If you didnt watch it then maybe you should! The special goes to a county in Northern California where weed is pretty much legal for both medicinal and non. The reason its not taken down is because the counties economy relies on it... matter fact 60% of the economy if fueled by the growing and selling of marijauna. The DEA is so distracted by the major pot growers are who they focus on, while people who may have a whole backyard full are left alone. There are people moving from all over the country to move to this county to build there own business. Do you think this is a step to truly legalizing pot? The medicinal stores who sell it, (one in particular that was on the show) pays $300,000 to the state, and twice as much to the fed government. Would it not just be smart to just legalize and tax the hell out of it? This would cut down alot of the prison populations in turn focusing the money on more serious crimes. And also cut down the drug trade from other countries because there would not be as much of a demand when you could go to your local LQ store and pick up a pack. Matter fact when do you reallly hear about people getting into "high" (drunk) driving accidents. Whoever smokes wants to stay home and relax and eat. You can be more in control of weed then alcohol. The goverment chose to make pot illegal because they could not control the fact every person could grow it in their house. Few can distill alcohol. Tell me what you think
