I need big time hamster help!?

It's hard to change a hamsters mind when he has his home all planned out (I know I've raised a lot) it sounds like he likes the jar and not the bed you got so why not just let him use the bed for a toilet and the jar for a bed (I'm not sure if there's a way to make him like it the way you want...hamsters usually keep things a set way.
